The Coolermaster's V8 logo was GONE IN 60 SECONDS!

The center portion was replaced Round Modders Mesh

1/8 thick acrylic riser

manifold air intake hose made from plastic wire loom, heated and bent

roughly 3/16" tall manifolds made from modeling clay

Next up, making 12, intake pipes! :D

My "worm chorus line" is starting to morph in to intake pipes. The next step is applying more clay to join them to the manifolds. From there, acrylic primer, then a coat of silver "manifold" colored paint, then off to mnpctech's master painter, Brad Galvin to have intricate details like the Ferrari text on the red covers painted.

The pipes will be smoothed over with another application of clay.

A little more sanding, and it's ready for paint details :thumb:

Hand painting the intakes has commenced. Using custom vinyl film stencil made on plotter for "Ferrari"

I wonder if Coolermaster would recognize it?

Well not to bust the chops or anything but I like detail. And there is just one small detail that has been overlooked here.

The 599 Ferrari contains a V12 which is why you see 6 air tubes per side on the intake plenum.

In keeping true to the name of the cpu cooler, you would need to change your mod to only contain 8 air tubes per side on the intake plenum. As seen in these photos.

Other then that the mod looks ok.

You have to remember that I work within my customer's budget. Most people would never shill out the amount of money to replicate those authentic details. I only had 3/4" of space between top of the cooler and the side panel. They also wanted the option to replace the fan. So the cover had to be removable w/o any extra features attached to it. Given these constraints, my mission was accomplished and my customer is happy. Thats all that matters to me.

btw: got this nice note from Cooler Master today
