I had a old beige tower case lying around and didnt know what to do with it...
heres some pics
1-4 are what this tower looked like before any work was done:
eeeewwww....once again ....eeeewww
then i took a 5 inch LCD gaming screen from a minivan and disected it, saving only the needed circuitry i saved as much space as possible, Pictures 5-9 depict this:
Pictures 10, 11 12 and 13 show my cutting away 2 80mm hols in the front for maximum airflo to the HD that will mount behind it. twin 80mm Enlobal bearing fans should do nicely. i actually cut the metal out WHILE installing windows in the machine, Im careful to prevent flying metal shards from hitting the MB as to building a magnetic wall to catch them. I work fast and therefore cannot wait for windows to install I have grown too impatient.
Pics 14 15 and 16 show the original paint job and layout of the CD drive, which i later on changed due to it makeing me sick to my stomach to look at.
I decided being bored again that the side door needed a window, i have tons of plexiglass lying around.
Also i painted the inside of the case flourescent orange pain, i like bright fun colors lol.
Oh, i also decided to cut 160mm x 80mm hole inthe back for 2 more 80mm enlobal bearing fans
The last pic here in this segment is one with the PC on.
The Powersupply has a 120mm coolermaster LED fan in it.
The PS didnt come with that fan, i put it in there actually cause i was too cheap to order a powersupply that had one built in haha.
( like that blue glow...well i like any kind of glow too)
ok heres some of my favorite pics of this project,
these are the final pics i have taken of this project
They simply show the final work with the UV illumination
glow in the dark paint, 5 enlobal beairng fans total with a 120mm fan in the PS, the PC is very quiet. In the end, i sliced an old (but working lol) motherboard in half and mounted it to the bottom of the tower case for the UV lights to bounce off ( i love circuitboards...perhaps a fetish) that giant glowing bubble in the middle is a Tritium glow ring which will glow indefinetly for the next 25 years as it is radioactive (NOT dangerous though) when the UV lights hit it ...VERY bright...kinda sci-fi...which i love.
I hope you enjoyed the pics, it was fun to do this project, and took me roughly 6 hours to do.
This is the second PC tower case i have ever modded.
The first one was building a custom Refrigerated liquid cooling system half inch ID tubing soft cooper coils and 1.8cu refrigerator.
