| these cases are going to be so much money cause first of all they use an expanse case lol. so its going to be even more expense and it also takes away the abiltity to call it your own custom computer. its a pre-mod really.
but it would be nice to own one of thses case :) |

| are these going auction style? because i think thats only the right way to do it justice. to see how valuable the partnership is, one must test the waters of the market. |

| I don't know what's going on in Adam's head to bring out images like that... perhaps one to many whiffs of primer?
The slithery look to "Steve" is incredible and the picture I have in my head about how awesome it'll look clear coated is probably not nearly as good as how it will really turn out!
The wheels rock too... cannot wait to see them installed! |

| i know im going to be the only to prob say something against this, not the idea of moding or even the case but more to the person who buys it.
there is a 99% chance that no real case modder would even think of purchasing something like that,
1 it totally stifles anything creative.
2 its not your desgin, and seeing their work you can tell there pro's.
so any one that knows you and what your capable of (fellow modders) will most likely laugh when you show em the case.
3 its going to be outragously expensive and im sure most could make the case look kleen while spending the $200+ on something better
4 although it looks good, its basically a premod but with more Flair.
now the good points:
1 its unique there is nothing like it period.
2 you can be sure the Lines are perfect. the cuts exact, the paint Flawless and every Detail has been looked over twice
3 these guys are Pro's and although the case price is going to be through the roof you can be sure that you got your money's worth
now some of you are going to instantly Jump on me for even attacking the case and the people that made it but like i said
and ill say it more clearly I Am in no way atacking this Case or the People Who Designed it.
i just want to Show some obvious points and the lack of logic behind them.
what is the point of selling a completely modded case to the modding Community? its kinda of like: here we did the work for you. for some people that can be a good thing for others, like me, i get enjoyment from Building the case and working it from the ground up
The colors are wonderfull although im not fond of the monster painted on the side it does go well with the case, it Gives a Kinda "from Hell" feeling.
i will say its totally orignal. |

| Well Zyphron I dont think It's really aimed at hardcore modders. For the same reason people buy premods in the first place, they would buy this case. Heck I know I would want it.
Awesome paint job guys, looking forward to see what you do to it physically. |

| Zyphron:
You make several good points. However, the object with these cases is more than just selling a case. Case projects like this generate ideas and modders are always looking for cool new things to do to their cases. For me personally, I love this kind of thing because I get to build a new case with a new theme every month. Not only that but I am able to help modders come up with new ways to use the same old parts and paints.
For every single case we roll out there will be a corrisponding set of parts and ideas that will be made available to the modding community. Even if you don't have the money or desire to buy the finished case there will be related parts that you will be able to purchase and use in your projects. If you even take away one good idea from this work log it's worth it.
Kikboxes very lucky to be able to do these cases. I consider it an honor to create these for xoxide.com and to share them with you all. I am looking forward to showing you more of our work over the next 12 months! |

| Clear Coat and Polish So the paint job has been completed. Before he applied the clear coat Adam made a few more enhancements to the design. Take a close look at the shadows and you will see how the addition of some purple highlights makes the painting look as if it were UV sensitive.
The last step in the painting process is to apply clear coat to the project. Clear coat is what gives the final design its punch. Not only do we get a glossy finish but the clear also creates depth. Clear coat can be added in many layers to give the piece the appearance of being dipped in some kind of clear resin. For Ophidian, Adam has added several layers of clear coat and then polish.
Our clear coat finish is exactly the same type of finish you would apply to a car. This makes it very tough and protects Steve the snake dude from scratching. It also means that we can clean and polish it just like a car. To get a nice rich shine Adam has applied Turtle Wax and used a hand held buffing wheel to really shine it up.
Check out our high resolution pictures! High Resolution - Shot 1 High Resolution - Shot 2 High Resolution - Shot 3 High Resolution - Shot 4 COMING UP NEXT: MODS!
