  |  Rags to Riches attempt #1 56K killa Ok, tech at work gave me a piece o **** case with all the guts minus the hard drive, we have ot destoy those from the bank. Some old PII and crap stuff, but ATX case. I am attempting to make something cool out of crap. Here is the case dissassembled after I washed all the years of dust out of it.   I am painting the inside a metallic blue and the outside black I think. I will use orange or green sleeving, lights, and accents. I want to do a custom window and put a fan in the front and hopefully the top. I have never worked with curved cases as far as mounting fans. The hard drive cage is painted, the frame and one side is primed and needs another coat of primer. Wish me luck...lol |

 | Looking forward to this worklog when do you plan on getting started. How do you plan on destroying those hard drives the easiest would be a magnet. |

| I dont do it, the tech guy do, magnets and hammer...lol I have primed the frame and one side panel (the non window side) and have painted the HDD cage to see how the paint looks. I am out of primer and paint, so I need to get some more |

| Grrrrr I was going to use orange and green but oh well it's been done before anyways. I didnt realize you have already done all that when will we see some pictures? Also let's see some pictures of that magnet and hammer destruction. |

| I have not settled on what mods to do, but I want to do some LED stuff, paint, top fan, custom window, mirror in the bottom and I will have to ponder what else It will be a smalled weaker system than my dragoon system. May let the 2 kids of mine mess with it. Looks so far like it will be: AMDXP 1800+ MSI Motherboard 512MB Corsair XMS 40GB IBM 7200 RPM drive Radeon 9800 Pro (refurb) 350W PSU Like I said, this will more than likely be for th ekids to play their games on, so not alot of muscle is needed |

| black and blue? If its a light blue it will be fine. If its a dark blue paint the case a greener color. Or the outside matches the UV reactive stuff on the inside and the CCFLs are the same as the inner color? Trim the outer case with the inner cases color...Everyone will be like OMG...Ah! You could also change all the outer LEDs to the same color as the inner CCFLs... |

| no UV stuff will be there. I have debated on Green on the outside too. with blue inside and orange or green CCLS |

| Wish they made orange...lol I am afraid blue will make the darker blue inside look black. I may just experiment with light colors since they are relatively cheap here at xoxide |

| if you need another side panel, i have a few sitting around, those cases are common around my house, so just ask, and ill send ya one to try for the cost of shipping. |

| wow it takes a ton of freaking paint to paint, gone through 2 cans of primer and 2 cans of blue, and only 1/2 done, by the time I have spent $40 on paint, I could have bought a damn case |

| LOL my how things change, I think I want to trash this case, my tech guy gave me an XP1800+ MSI board and another white case that is cooler looking, maybe a 350W PSU too, I will get pics of it too. |
