| Gray dye/tubing?? Does anyone know of any gray watercooling dye or dye? I've found some silver tubing, but really I want gray if at all possible.
I saw one Canadian mod from 2008 with it, but no way to get into contact with the poster. Any pointers in the right direction would be MUCH appreciated.
Quick though: would mixing black and white coolant be advised against? I've seen some really nice white coolant and I can't see getting the right color with a bit of black being a problem color-wise, but if they're the same brand will there be other issues?
Thanks! |

| Re: Gray dye/tubing?? I have not heard of that, but to be honest I have not dived into water cooling other than a sealed unit.
you could try the XoXide store or maybe FrozonCPU |

This one is a little more silver than I want, but definitely in the right area. |

| Re: Gray dye/tubing?? LOL. That's not a half-bad idea, but I'm not sure I can get the same super-tight weave sleeving in that diameter.
Back to Google I go! |

If you scroll down to his time-test pics from directly above, the middle one looks like it would be a nice solution. |

guess I need to clean my glasses...
I'm sure you can find Gray Sleeving that would be just the right size to make a tight look.
Personally if I was to sleeve the tubing of a water cooled loop I would want the sleeving to have some openings in it so that I could slightly see the tubing behind the sleeve. This way I could put some sort of EL Wire inside the sleeving to illuminate the tubing. A UV solution like this would look badass, green glowing liquid in the tube that is sleeved, kind of an alien blood running though veins thing...hmmm may be onto something for a mod.... |

Searched FrozenCPU and Xoxide for gay tubing, no matches. I'll keep looking!

| Re: Gray dye/tubing?? I know its not listed yet, but Primochill has a dye called Steel if you check out the product page on Xoxide.com, click on one of the colors and in the pics youll see it. Maybe they can order it for you, or you can straight from PC. |

I had a conversation with Mayhem (from Mayhems, UK) and he said that mixing cooling dye was not a problem if you follow the instructions carefully. I would like to go with pure water + silver coil though, so I think I'm going to dye either some white or clear tubing and call it a day.
Now to save up for the parts :( |
