Aftermarket Cooling on 8500GT?

I have a PNY 8500GT 512mb GDDR2 PCIe, and it is running at 65-75°C, and my system and my CPU are running at 37°C. So I want to lower my Graphics Card's temperature. What BGA cooler that you would suggest for me?

I have a Freezer 7 on my CPU

well, BGA cooling is just for the RAM on the gfx card

but honestly 65-75* C is good enough if ambient is around 37* C (that isn't that bad for a graphics card)

look at the Zalman VF-700's though, around $20, installs on almost anything known to man, and usually drops temps quite nicely

Actually the VF-700 wont fit the 8500 GT. At least if memory serves me well (Yeah we all know about my memory). I am using the VF900 on my XFX 8600 and I like it. So far so good!
It will fit the 8500 as well.

Ah well, i think we have learned to play together so far.

However.

Nobody specified CU vs ALCU, and the forum rules specify that linking to another vendor when Xox sells that item, is against the policy.

Which i then followed, but i think technically since you linked a product NOT available on Xox currently, saves you from a spanking lol.

My biggest gripe with anything is the lack of wattage dissipation numbers when shopping around. I mean if you told me that Ex. 'A' handled 50watts of cooling and was $x.xx but Ex. 'B' handled 55watts, for $10 more, id go with the higher capacity cooler.

except that those dissipation numbers don't help without knowing the TDP figures for the object you're cooling

AND
the AlCu vs the Cu is almost identical cooling, the Cu just looks a lot classier, but imho the lower weight and lower price make the AlCu a better call

Hey, can you update as to how you installed it? and which one?

In general do you just add onto the PNY card?
