Default 650w running 2 8800gtx

I need to know if a Mushkin 650w can run 2 8800gtx.

There is only
1.AMD X2 6000 3.1 ghz
2.Tobisha-Samsung DVD-rw
3.Sata HD
4.The first GTX
5.Swiftech 350 pump
6.2x80mm .28A fans and one 120mm fan
The temps for the CPU is 44c idle but his is because i just installed the system yesterday and the GTX is about 50c.

knock yourself out

I get roughly 564W estimated for your system as described, so I'd be a bit weary of such a setup (thats over the 40-60 band on that PSU, so thats gonna push the efficiency down, and heat up)

Well as obobskivich says, keep an eye on the PSU. Its probably ok but its a bit close. If it fell into the 40-60 band then I would say no problem but when its above just keep an eye on the voltage stability and temps from your PSU. extremeoutervision ususally calculates average power if I recall so you may get transient loads that go above the estimate. Usually only for short durations but they may affect your PC.

To be safe, usually the manufacturers provide a power spec for the items. These specs are often rated for peak power so if you add all the power specs from most of the major components and they fall within the 40-60% of the power rating of a good PSU, you are ok.

You should be fine. That PSU has a combined 80 amps (if your spec sheet is right). You are coming within about 100 watts of the max, but as long as you aren't doing a crazy overclock or add anymore components, I would think you will be OK. Mushkin is a pretty decent brand too.

Yea, I would also only worry about over-clocks. If you're going to try to over-clock both those cards and/or your cpu get a PSU with more watts.

Actually the combined amperage is for the most part lower than the sum of the amperage of the individual rails. The best way to figure the combined amperage is to get the combined wattage for the 12V rails and divide it by the voltage (12V). If it doesn't show the combined wattage only of the 12V rails, then take the 3V and 5V wattage (just current spec times the voltage spec since the 3 and 5V lines are usually on single rails) and subtract the watts from the total 650W. Then you can divide the remainder with 12V to get the combined amperage.

It should give some rough estimate of the combined current on the 12V rails.

The combined amperage for the 12v rails is 44A i already looked it up for one it only needs 28A but i can't find sli requirement.
