| ULTRA X3 1000w connector for CPU? I just ordered one of these for my new build but kind of confused. My new MB is a gigabyte x58 board with a I7 965EE cpu. Anyway the MB says it wants 2x4 12v connectors for the CPU but I only see one 4 pin 12v listed. Does the PSU also come with a single 8 pin 12v connector or am I going to have a problem getting everything hooked up right?
I did notice in the list of connectors there is one listed right below the "1 x 4-pin P4" that say "1 x 8-Pin P8". Is that the cable I will want to use? If it is how do I tell it apart from the 8-pin PCI Express cables? |

| Re: ULTRA X3 1000w connector for CPU? If you look at the shape of the connectors you will see that they made their best effort to dummy proof the 2 connectors. |

| Re: ULTRA X3 1000w connector for CPU? The 4870x2 is a single card, hehe
In all honesty I'm planning on this being my computer for the rest of my life actually. I've been slowly buying all the parts over a long time. The machine will mainly be used for school since I take most of my courses online. Being someone with AIDS & disabled I just didn't have the energy to put it all together till now.
I figure I'll use it at default setting for a while and then when it starts to feel slow I'll be able to OC and get that "Fresh Again" feeling LOL |

And like I said I have a 4870x2 and its loud as crap...cant stand it...as soon as $$$ permits I am probably going back to a single GPU card with an aftermarket cooling solution...either fanless or at the very least a one of these
I have one of these on my 120 ultra and I am completely sold as it is damn near unnoticeable. |

For a computer that is only on for about 12 hours out of a 7 day week that is way too much trouble.
for just simple web browsing I just use my laptop |
