 |  Looking for a New PSU The time has come to upgrade my PSU and as I'm not really aware of what the best PSU is to get and am kind of out of the loop in terms of PSUs , I was wondering what one all of you would suggest.. TEMP1 : 34 C TEMP2 : 38 C TEMP3 : 25 C TEMP4: 35 C Stats are in my sig.. |

Technically a weak PSU wont bottleneck your system it simply wont run stable if it can't keep the voltage up. Also the efficiency of the PSU drops as it approaches its max load. Just something to keep in mind if you pay the power bill=) |

| Re: Looking for a New PSU the PSU gets more efficient as it approaches max load, to a point basically you want to load it 40-60% of its rated output, to get highest efficiency, so if you've got a system that needs like 200W, dont get a 1200W PSU, since it'll be inefficient, get like a 500W PSU but yeah, it does drop once it clears 60% (and it gets a lot warmer, because its going from like say, 20% heat of ~300W, to 20% heat of ~600W, for example) |
