| EL Wire... Strips? So, we got these new EL wire strips in... they're like LED strips, except they give off light like EL wire does. Very cool stuff. Of course, being as awesome as we are here at Xoxide, we've got the exclusive on these. I just wanted to see what you guys thought of them. The white one in particular looks really cool, I could definitely see it being right at home on someone's TRON costume. We're planning on getting some battery-powered inverters soon as well, just to make it a little easier for people to pull off such insanely cool costumes and stuff. Anyway, if you guys don't mind, take a look and let me know what you think!
EDIT: Also, other colors and lengths are indeed possible, so if you've got something you'd like to see, we're always open to suggestions!

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? I loved my EL wire while it worked. But after about two months it became so dim you could not hardly see it. I would like to buy another el wire transformer but you don't sell those alone. I found some online but they are not set up for PC use like the package is.
With that said, this flat wire has a very nice look to it. I'm just concerned that it will die out like the wire did after only a short period of time. |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? It certainly shouldn't, sounds like you just got a bad one or something. We don't even get EL wire from the same place anymore, so that shouldn't happen with any of the new stuff. |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? ROFLMAO,
I was thinking the same thing, even with my "Allowance" I could order that. And I'm married with three daughters!!!!
C.Hill, do you sell just the transformer part?? Or maybe have a spare one lying around?? |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? We don't sell just the inverters YET, but we'll probably list them as separate items once we get the battery-powered ones in. I'll keep an eye out for any extras for you, though. |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? 13 bucks for 2 feet of strip lighting? I can go for that.
I've been thinking of how to go about lighting the chair. I am interested for sure. |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? For some reason i read that as $12.95/ft. Either way, when your wife is laid off on UnEmp and the income is $900/month smaller, things tend to cost a bit more :) |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? Lighting the chair sounds cool, Im thinking of lighting around the sides of the top board on my desk, which is 1 1/4 inch thick solid wood. Its an old wooden teachers desk which weighs around 250lbs. Ive lighted with rope light before on it, but it always seemed to be in the way. |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? Yeah this stuff looks way better than rope lights. It's a lot thinner, too. It'd be perfect for highlighting straight, flat edges (which it seems is exactly what you intend to do, Ch@os). |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? How does it work with 90 degree turns, with the light side folded toward itself?
Any chance of a pic with some running that way? |

| Re: EL Wire... Strips? Sweet.
I hope to finish most of the chair mods over the upcoming holiday. My folks are coming up, and I want to press my dad into service. |
