Default TN Games 3rd Space Gaming Vest - Black SM/MD

If you ever wanted a truly authentic real-world simulation of an online battlefield, this is it. That's right, the TN Games 3rd Space Gaming Vest acts as both a highly fashionable piece of attire and a ultra-realistic simulation of what it's like to take a direct gunshot to the chest. This TN Games 3rd Space Gaming Vest (Small / Medium) contains eight active zones that simulate the precise direction and brute force of online bullet fire and bone-rattling explosions as they occur in-game.

Also Available in Large / X-Large.

This product is absurd, but I like it. It would make a great gift for anyone who is steadily losing their mind.
I think what everyone wants to know is, exactly how much force does it provide? I hope someone here knows or finds out.

The nerd in me really wants to try this out. But, I think my wife would actually leave me if I got one of these. She can deal with my nerdishness... to a certain point.

But, I am definitely interested in hearing some user feedback on these. How hard do they hit would be my biggest question.

I'll add that I would wear a more subtle version - perhaps underneath a light sweater. I kind of admire Xoxide for stocking this, it's hard to find something so geeky you can't sell it on the internet. :D

Someday when it's less bulky I'll look at the price again... which is decent right now... because if I can turn it up nearly to the point where it hurts, I should in theory get better at Unreal!

No, this will not give you a true bullet impact-force simulation.

One reviewer said "I would most readily compare the sensation to being lightly-to-moderately poked..."

I've read that the system can produce 25psi of force, but that might be at the compressor and not the vest. A review of the pink "women's" model said 5 lbs of impact force, but didn't specify how much area that covered. Either way, if you have any amount of meat on your bones, this thing won't hurt you.

There are also a helmet and limb devices, called "eXTremities." I read that they are also working on console support.

On a side note, I find it funny to read an average computer nerd's review of a "tactical" simulation device. Most tend to compare it to the real deal, without actually having any knowledge of it .

Oh there are a few computer nerds just here alone who are in the army. You can be both. :-)

This is super late but I tested this vest at GDC last year, and also won it in a raffle. The vest is pretty sick if you want to spice up your FPS life. The bullet impact is very miniscule, more than being moderately poked for the most part. As long as you're getting shot in major regions of the vest, you're going to feel impact. The price is a little absurd, I'd rather save up for those NVidia 3d goggles.
