Ok, as I said, Im posting a worklog of the iJon. And let me say this, yes it was cleaned before the build.
There is 11 pics, I sized them down some, 56k beware.
The original toilet came from a camper we had scrapped to build a trailer. Why it was still in the garage still? No one knows.
The toilet bowl and top together being sized in the iMac case.
2 of the 3 cases, one is a standard atx case of unknown origin, the second is a former Compaq. These holes were later made larger to allow for even setting of the flush valve and water inlet from the tank.
The flush valve and water inlet valve. The flush valve was purchased for $8. After carefull consideration I decided against custom fabricating the flush valve due to problems that could arise with water tightness. The inlet vave came from a working toilet in a relatives former home. The house is being scrapped.
Flush valve and water inlet valve installed into a trashcan. I chose a trashcan vs trying to waterseal a computer case.
Tank assembly installed into the computer case.
Flush handle installed in front panel of case.
The hardware store didnt have a 2"-1 1/4" Y 3/4". So I had to improvise with what I had and what I needed. Using a few reducers and some rubber couplers I manager to rig up what I needed with available piping.
The water jet and "P" trap installed.
Inside view of the Compaq case with all plumbing installed.
The final result, the iJon.
The plan for this is to eventualy install it in the corner of the garage. We currently use the bushes outside instead of going in the house covered in mud and dirt. Every part of this project was tested and worked thru the build. However it has yet to see its first full function flush. Its not hooked up to water as of yet because I want to get its debut flush on video. The problem, my video camera is missing. As soon as I find it I will make a video and post it, flush or fail.
Also note, this is not for sitting on and reading the paper, its more of a urinal. The exiting pipes would not be able to handle such "large loads".
