Default Best DFI Am2+ Board?

does DFI make any good boards that will support the phenom? i have looked around and seen a few tri sli boards but the ram that is uses seems, lacking. right now i was thinking of getting this board but if DFI has something just as sexy then i might go with them.

here is the link for the board im thinking about getting

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...231&CatId=2320

i love Biostar they make some really good boards and all my rigs i have build around Biostar have never messed up, but the LanParty just takes me back to the allure it held for me when i was a teen.

btw the DFI boards i have seen are all 800Mhz DDR2, i want a board that supports 1066MHz DDR2

uh

DFI makes a few 790FX boards
and might have a 780a, but I'm not sure, it isn't available on the egg and I don't feel like digging around for it

but here:

and yes, they support 1066, if you're using a Phenom and not an Athlon64, remember, its AMD, hence, on-chip MCU

heh, no problem

honestly, if you like Biostar, stick with them, I've never had a complaint against them using them in customer builds, and that board is a good deal cheaper than the LanParty 790FX at $230 (yes, there is the DK 790FX, which is a great value, so that might be an option, but that board will not be head and shoulders above the Biostar)

I dunno man, i got the Dark 790FX and its got a slew of options. Still havent even gotten water level compared to the iceburg scenario. Rock solid the whole way though.

yeah, its a good board, but its probably pretty comparable to that Biostar, while the $230 one will just dominate it

so my point is, if he likes the Biostar, why switch to a new brand, because unless he spends consdierably more, he isn't going to gain buckets of features
