I must have the absolute worst luck of anyone in the world. If something can go wrong, it will.

This time it's nothing new though. EVERY TIME I order something and pay for faster-than-standard shipping, SOMETHING always happens and it ends up held somewhere. This time I have 2 new video cards on the way, should be delivered today (I paid for next day delivery and rushed processing), but now

I have NEVER once gotten a delivery on time after paying for any sort of expedited delivery. Standard is ALWAYS faster for me.

This. The only expedited delivery I ever get is the free 2-day shipping with my Amazon Prime membership.

I can't even get any info on this. Calling UPS is absolutely worthless because there is no option to talk to a real person, and there is no line for support. I'm pissed about the delay, but I didn't get my package today. I want my $30 next day shipping charge refunded to me. I've emailed them but I doubt I'll hear anything til Monday at the soonest.

That's what I would fight for if I were you. Get your money back for shipping. Call the company you ordered through. They can call their Corporate Account Rep with UPS and get THEIR money back AFTER they refund your money. If the first person you talk to does not understand, then politely stop talking to them and ask for their supervisor.

I have dealt with Logistics issues like this my whole Military Life. I'm in Purchasing and Logistics and we call and get our money back all the time if the shipment is screwed up.

I also rarely ask for overnight or 2 day shipping.

Yea i either get Priority or free 2 day from the 'Egg, never pay for faster since something always messes it up. Oddly enough, Fastenal ships the FASTEST using UPS Ground. I dont know how i can place an order on a SUNDAY and get it on Tuesday from WI to KY. Anything i order from Tap Plastics in WA always takes exactly 7 days, even if it got to Louisville on day 4, itll take 3 days to go the extra 100 miles, not two hours.

My order was from the ol' Egg. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what can be done about it. This was my first time using their "next day by air" option. Won't be doing that again.

UPS did have something on their site that mentioned their shipping network was down for some reason on the 16th, which is the day I placed my order. I'm not sure if that's what effected my shipment seeing as it was travelling until 10:05am on the 17th. Then it just stopped in Indiana. No explanation other than it encountered an "exception", which means it could be anything from weather delays to lost packages to damaged items (or a plane going down o.O).

I'm not so upset that I don't have my package yet, sure I really wanted it in for the weekend so I could have time to play with it, I'm just more peeved by the fact that I gave them almost 30 bucks to have it delivered at a specific time only to have it held for an undetermined amount of time for a reason they won't disclose to me.

Edit: I've written Newegg about the matter and hopefully I can get my shipping costs refunded. I'm hoping that something didn't actually happen to my order because the item is now out of stock. If they have to ship me new ones I'm going to have to wait even longer now.

Ok, as I was writing this my tracking number has changed from "Exception" to "In Transit".

Bah, I refreshed the page and it went back to "Exception". Dammit. If I keep refreshing the order it bounces between the two.

Package is moving again. I'm moderately happy now. It won't get here til Monday, unless they decide to deliver it late late today

I'm assuming something physically happened to my shipment and a replacement had to be sent.

On an unrelated note I went on a spending spree and got myself a Mexican Red Rump Tarantula. Little bitty guy, maybe .75 inches, maybe 1 inch.

The video cards or the spider? I paid a little over $30 for the little Guy. It was advertised as "red rump tarantula" Depending on whether it's a Mexican or a Guatemalan... If it's Mexican then I paid about twice what it's worth. If it's the other then I got a deal. Won't know til it grows some. Lots of tarantulas look similar when they're young.

Lol. Now I have this guy, my gf has a Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula (that's about 5 inches or so, still growing), and I also have 3 Emperor Scorpions.





Phone pics. Still need to get myself a new camera. He/she will get to be about 5-6 inches.

We have a cat named Nova, and I also have another cat that's out at my mom's. His name is Draco.

Had dogs and cats the entire time I was growing up at home, but I am NOT a dog person and I will never own one myself. I'm also big into fish, but I haven't gotten around to collecting those again. I had several tanks when I was in the Navy, all in my barracks room :)

Back to the OP though, I wrote Newegg the other day and they wrote back stating that I need to write them again once my package arrives and they will then refund my shipping costs. Package should be here today provided there aren't any other errors in the shipping. It left Earth City, MO. at 3am, and that's only around 3 hours away.

Sacred, complain on the UPS Facebook page. Emailing and calling is pointless, complain on a publicly viewed website, they more than likely respond. I did that on Walmart's and UPS's page and got responses within a couple of hours. Walmart even called my store and called me a couple times to make sure I got my HP Touchpad.

But I'm with you. It's hit or miss. Lately it's been pretty good. However I ordered paintball gear from hustlepaintball.com, I placed my order on Feb. 4th, and they told me one of the items was not in stock. So I waited a week, then called them back, another item was not in stock! No where on their site did they say those items weren't in stock. So Now it's been 16 days and it still hasn't left their store!

Last one looks like a Gordon Setter (I own one) - might be wrong though.

Shibas are fun until you piss them off and they go full disco like a fire alarm...

Sucks to hear about the shipping - I use Amazon more or less exclusively now though, because Newegg's QoS has gone down the crapper imho.
