Recently, My want to be a UFC fighter has been interesting, I've started taking multiple martial arts classes. My teacher knows my intentions and wants me to push further.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to get into this sort of thing?
Is there some way to sign up for "The Ultimate Fighter" TV thing? what do i have to do?
And if theres any req. i think i meet them :-P im 6 foot 3, and 195 lbs mostly muscle.
Just lookin for some help guys! thanks! |

| Re: UFC fighter. How? hmm, my gf has a friend that's into that kind of thing. she does female MMA in Arkansas i think. i know we've got a small league here in town too, but i only know someone that knows someone else that's in it.
actually i think Maria (gf's friend) is supposed to be visiting this weekend. i could ask her some about it then. i can get you a link to her myspace if you want to get in touch with her and ask her yourself. |

| Re: UFC fighter. How? First off, what classes are you taking? As in what style and what instructors and what dojo names.
I can almost tell you right there if you would make it anywhere. |

| Re: UFC fighter. How? you should probably just start in a k1 tourny. i have a friend who is a muay-tai fighter, he says k1 has a lot of local tournaments that you can do to help build your record, and if you are good enough, ufc might notice, might not who knows. |

| Re: UFC fighter. How? Well theres a dojo in town called the three winds dojo. from him im taking tai chi, Kung fu, Jujitsu... Theres a guy new tot own opening a dojo soon, hes training Gracie Jujitsu im going to go take that... And My cousin may be movig into town soon and he will be teaching me sambo.
Other then that whati've alrdy taken is just Karate, and very little capoeira.
but im entirely flexible and can lift alot of weight. i prefer grappling to striking, but i can strike fairly decently.
So hows that illustrious? :P |

and gracie barr.
yeah. his classes are pretty good.
I was just making sure you aren't taking any von "smelling" classes (ATA Take-my-doh.. errr. i mean... taekwando...).
I love grappling myself but only train religiously in japanese sword. |
