Ebay Fraud or not?!??

ok here is the deal. i was selling an item, it was a cingular PDA that sold for a good ammount, i was kinda expecting it. well anyways in the last second a bid was placed from katesoso076yvv, whos acount was made today August 15. well i kinda though it was ok, let me send him/her an email finding out how they gona make the payment and etc.

an hour later i get this email from the person that won.

"Hello seller,I am happy to be the winning bidder of your item.I am a nurse in Menterance Hopital in UK.But i am currently on leave so i travelled to (UNITED STATE) for a trip and i;m leaving here by this week,so I am puchasing this item for my husband who is currently in West Afrca (Nigeria),working with (BRITSH AMERICAN TOBACCO)company as zonal condinator in Nigeria,and i will like to pay you 80 USD for shipping to him in Nigeria,I will paying you via my Paypal account in which the money will be credited to your Paypal account,i will be happy if you can send it to him through USPS first class delivery (EMS GLOBAL EXPRESS) .So kindly get back to me .

now i am asking is this a freaking scam? or should i go ahead and send it?

i stated in my ebay description that i wont send to any other countries other then the USA. now she/he made an adress that is in Florida, maybe they are there i dont kno but thats the shippind adress that showed up when i got a notification to send the invoice.

what should i do now? go along and send it to Nigeria...which is known for SOoo many scams and etc or should i just tell him/her to give me my incertion fees and give a negative feedback for not folowing my instructions on sending to other countries?

As long as you get the money via paypal, wait for it to be transfered into your bank account...you'll be fine. If she tries to do anything like mail the item first, then email the tracking number to get money credited to your account or some **** similiar to that send her a nasty email and report her ass to paypal/ebay. Always always always get the money before sending ANYTHING out, especially for someone without a reputation yet.

what is the point in transfering it to my bank account and seeing if its legit when the money in paypal is already legit no matter if it gets transfered or not?...

yeah just as long as you actually get the money in paypal i would do it

they cant take the money back once its in your bank account soo

edit: i think what he ment was that if you are verified with paypal it goes straight to your bank account and doesnt have to stay in paypal

For sure dont send it before they pay you, even if they send you an e cheque wait untill it clears or else if iy bounces your out your money and they only get a 30 dollar bank fee.

Usually scammers avoid paypal so she 'seems' legit. However just becareful...her typing sounds like a scammer.

I am mad as hell becuase i clearly stated that i will not ship anything outside US and this ****ing persons goes ahead and bids/wins the phone.

i just sent her an email saying what time she is leaving Florida as thats the state the account was made it. told her if she wants it ill send it to her to florida with like one day air delivery, she pays all the shipping etc.

i wont ship to no ****ing nigeria, i never shippied outside US and sure as hell wont trust some Nigeria, aka scam capitol of the world

Ohh and lol, i would never ship if i dont get the payment first

Ship it to her Florida address, also refuse to ship to any address not specified by paypal. I would move the money to your account too, if paypal decides you comitted fraud they can take money out of your paypal account.

Hmm. I'll pay you, and could you ship my product to our warehouse of stolen goods in Nigeria. Then once it's there I can claim fraud because you didn't sent it to my registered paypal address and get all my money back.

yeah dont even risk that ****, report it to ebay that you don't trust the buyer and you would like to use the previous highest bidder

as lon as you remove the fund from your paypal account, paypal cant do ****.

selling it to your second highest is your best bet!

if i was you i would contact your 2nd highest and sell it to him for that price

if you dont wanna do that just relist it

you can go to ebay and look at the community and its in there for stuff like that

Paypal could ban you, good buy ebay.

BTW Paypal doesn't=legit. There is a very easy scam that I was ****ed over with. You buy something, the seller never ships the product, you call ebay and report the item as never sent, paypal contacts the buyer and the buyer then ships an empty box and gives the tracking number. Paypal uses the tracking number to confirm the package was delivered. You open it up and discover it is empty, call paypal and they inform you that a federal judge ruled in court prohibiting filing multiple fraud claims for one purchase. Your SOL. Always be careful and only buy from Very reputable sellers.
