| Victim of credit card fraud :( Man someone got ahold of my visa/debit card info and charged $1,340 so far I got calls from some UK phone card company asking to verify that I bought some cards from them and I was like wtf? and checked my account and it was 1300 dollars short. I froze my account so they cant charge anything with that number and I hope I can get my money back Tuesday when the banks reopen and see what all the **** they bought. Is there a way mabey if they bought stuff online I can get ahold of the website and ask them to look up the logs or purchases and mabey get the ip address of the buyer? Kinda wonder how or where my information leaked out from :( |

| yea if they ordered from an online site you should be able to get them to look up the order by cc number. But if they're not retarted they would use an alternate name/address. So even if you found that info it probably wont help you |

No, he should get his money back, at most you might have to pay a $50 fee. just call your cc company you should be fine |

| Yea, you won't be liable for that. Someone stole my girlfrieds purse when she was at work, and charged about $300 in stuff to it. They spent $200 at a shoe store, so I figure they bought some nice shoes, we went to the shoe store and it was a generic shoe place where no pair costed more than $10. |

| Chances are that after a little fight with the company, you won't end up paying the $1300. I would contact the companies and look for any way to trace the buyer. The problem with Credit Fraud is that it's so common and so hard to track that you won't get much help from the police at all. |

Anyway, I have a Visa/Debit card too but I don't use it to buy things online. I use my Discover card because I believe credit cards are easier to file fraud reports with than debit. |
