Talking Intel lanfest Colorado 2011/my experience

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk5hs9sBwvU

My fiance playing Portal 2

This lanfest this was a great one Compared to the one I went in 2009. The organization seemed alot better also there were way more people to. It was sold out and the added 25 more seats for walk in only. I went there for the Battlefield Bad Company tournament. There was a hiccup though, the ea server went down for a bit so it was canceled. Then it came back up(here is my only gripe) They waited to long to start the tournament. I was not on a team but on the PUG lest which is people who want to play but don't have a team. I was drafted to play around 205pm. They waited to long to start the tournament(230pm)
(sept 18) My team proceeded to set up team talk log into the servers but one thing was wrong. They started the match with only one person in the game. I haven't logged in and 2 other people. We lost the match because we were 6 down from the get go. We came back up but it was to late the score was 24 us 28 them. We won out 2cd match 30-18 and 3rd 30-24... But they waited to tell us that double elimination will be go and back to single elimination.
I was upset for a bit but it is just a game and I am there to have fun.
My fiance surprised me by taking in the interest of playing Portal 2. She really likes the games and played for like 6hrs straight on sat(sept 17).
I met quite alot of people there in lanfest and never seen so many people take interest in it. Like taking pics and vids of my rig.
I do encourage for people to go not only do you help charity but you will meet great people there people who may need help/advice on there rig and etc.

No idea how I missed this - where was this located? And I'm curious about the "charity" comment...
