| I'm sure if you read any of these guides they will say the #1 concern is dust/debris. If you get anything on one of your platters, you could very easily **** up your HDD beyond repair. So, good luck! |

| if you fubar your data its not our fault. because if you get a particle on there (even one thats smaller than the naked eye can see) your hdd will be worth less than the metal its made of. |

The acrylic mod looks badass if you do it right. |

| A local Mom and Pop comp shop has a completely acrylic cover made by WD to show off their drives. It looks great.
Stay tuned. I will be doing a HDD window mod very soon for the project I am working on. Sometime in the next couple of weeks it should be underway. It will be posted. |

| The guy at the shop told me that it wasn't retail merchandise. But you know what they say: money talks. |

| I've seen them mounted on the side and front.
Mine will be mounted up front. I had to figure out the mount and fabricate the brackets that I used. In fact, I finished the HDD hole tonight. It's ready for primer.
Here is my current work log: http://www.xoxideforums.com/showthread.php?t=56068
The drive pictured is the test drive that I did. The drive that I will actually use will look much different. |
