| Opinions on this setup? So im in the market for a new setup. I currently have a Pent4 2.0ghz single core socket 478 oldschool proc, 1gb ram, asus p4s533x mobo running xp pro and it is just not working for me any longer! Its much too slow. The majority of what i do is web browsing and multitasking, i sometimes run multiple programs at once, im a light gamer, in fact gaming is a rarity for me. Often times i find myself with multiple tabs open in Firefox and my PC can barely keep up. It lags and takes its time, i cannot even watch YouTube videos in HD. Some videos lag terribly if there is an animated advertisement.
Basically i need to bring my PC up to par with todays standards and have a fast and slick running computer. I want to be able to do multiple things at once without having to worry about it. I dont mind piecing a computer together but i would much prefer a package deal. I found this on NewEgg, let me know what you think of it and how it would suit my needs. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...t=Combo.328587
It is about in my price range(would like to stay around $800 or less if possible), all i would need on top of that is an operating system (I would like to run Windows 7) and a decent video card if i so choose to game with it. Thanks and let me know if you have any suggestions. |

| Re: Opinions on this setup? Whats wrong with the first system? Other than the Rosewill PSU, and Intel based.... Dont buy shitty off brands like that. You could get a Corsair for that price too. |

From what I can gather, you'll end up getting either a sub par psu or one that goes up in flames. I'm sure there are some gems in their lineup, but I'd rather choose a more reputable company. |

I like Kov's build though
grab a decent PSU and go (I like Corsair and PC Power, jonnyguru has decent reviews, so does techreport)
if that case doesn't do it for you (I think it looks cool, but not everyone has the same tastes) you might look at Lian-Li, Silverstone, or Antec if you want somewhat more "conventional" cosmetics, and Thermaltake, NZXT, and Cooler Master if you want a bit more "progressive" look |

Lol, thats hilarious, i have only bought Ultra's and Rosewills and never had any problems, an X2, an X3, and 4 rosewills for friends and family members. Never had a single issue. |

Never had a single issue. | I've never had an Ultra or Rosewill product die on me, per se, but I don't regard them as the same quality as other brands (which do cost more, in some cases 3-4x) - that isn't PSUs though, so I can't comment too much there (just based on friends with Ultra PSUs and reviews, and reviews mostly on Rosewill units, they seem to do ok, maybe just a higher than average failure rate?) |

Overall im very happy with the setup, its blazingly fast compared to my old setup. Thanks again everyone! |
