need game capable laptop

i want to buy a laptop for movies and music and games. what is the best gaming laptop i can get for about $1000?

found a couple i really like, need some help . . .
one is the ASUS M70Vm-B1, but it´s awful pricey, $1,461

the other is the Xplorer X7-7700 quite a bit cheeper at $1,236

the big difference is the Xplorer comes with an 8600m GS and the Asus comes with 9600m GS, i know the 9 seiries will be better, but is it worth the extra $230? would it be possible to upgrade the GFX card on the Xplorer latter on?

the Xplorer comes with a faster prosseser (2.4 the Asus has a 2.2) and the Xplorer comes with a better hard drive, over all i like the Xplorer better, but i´m worried about the GFX card

Well I looked it up and a lot of people are having problems with the 8600m series cards. It (8600m) get to hot and burns out I'd go with the 9600m cards lots of great reviews on this one seems they have fixed the cooling problem. I hope this helps..
