| Quick question. If a computer got too cold, would it have problems booting. Lets say I left the window open over night and the temp dropped really low, and then it took a while to get the computer going. Does that makes sense? Or is there something at work that I'm not aware of. |

And even then, unless there's ice crystals forming on the platters - you'll be fine. |

| Re: Quick question. The humidity was up quite a bit, a little damp in the air. I was wondering if that would have been a problem also. It is running fine now, it just freaked out this morning on boot. |

| Re: Quick question. Eh. I had it running all morning and I just turned it off and tried to turn it back on. I press the power button and it turns on, but then turns off within 2 seconds. I have to hold the power button for two seconds for it to boot now. Odd as hell and makes no sense. |

| Re: Quick question. Bump? This is really bothering me. I don't know if something serious is wrong, or if I"m just doing something wrong, but this is still going on today. |

| Re: Quick question. This is a brand new Corsair PSU that has had no problems. It boots up but wants me to hold the power button. It just sounds odd. The PSU is fine without any problems after I turn it on. I could check the PSU I suppose. Thanks for the tip. |

Edit:
I'd give you some rep for the help but it seems that I've given you too much already haha.

| Re: Quick question. I just messed with the connections and plugged and unplugged about everything to make sure it was working right but I am still getting problems on the boot. I have to hold the power button for about 4 seconds for it to catch properly. Once it catches though it runs normal, no problems. But it is just an annoyance and it bugs me because something is not right. |

| Re: Quick question. It is a newer EVGA 680i mobo. How easy do you think updating bios would be?
Edit:
Also, how do I check to see what driver is on my mobo right now. To see if I even can update.
Another edit:
Talking to a few people they were saying it might be a PSU problem. I have replaced my PSU a few times in the past year, and I was hoping this wasnt the case. If it is though do you think it would be causing my problem?

| Re: Quick question. So this is not flashing the bios? This is just clicking the .exe and waiting for it to finish?
Edit: Ya, I went to that website and downloaded the new drivers this morning. Should I just click the .exe now and install? |

| Re: Quick question. motherboard, bios, your system, Before updating your BIOS, please load BIOS defaults by hitting the delete key during POST and select: “Load Defaults.” Now select “Save & Exit Setup.” After that has been completed please follow these instructions:
Download the following files: NVIDIA Update Center and NF68_P32.bin
Install the latest NVIDIA Update Center and run the program. (Use ONLY the above version, DO NOT use any previous version of NVIDIA Update Center.)
Once Update Center opens, Check the box “Clear CMOS” and then hit apply at the bottom right hand corner
Now select browse and locate NF68_P32.bin
Select load bios
After update center finishes, completely shutdown your system
Once the system is off, unplug your PSU and press the power button on the front of your case. (This will discharge the Motherboard.)
Wait 30-60 seconds to turn on or plug in your PSU and start up your system
Press "Delete" to once again enter the BIOS, and load defaults. Save and exit; your system BIOS is now updated. |
