Default Just got done my new build! :)

Although I have a few questions and concerns on a few things. BTW the specs for the computer are in my sig and im running XP PRO w/ SP2 now having all that said. It seems like when I scroll down the computer monitor lags, it cant be the monitor because ive tried it out on 2 diffrent ones and it still does it im using this computer on a 32" Vizio screen looks very nice just the screen really lags alot I dont know why.

Second,

I have installed 4GB of corsair DDR2 ram in this machine and XP PRO is only recognizing 3GB of it. I know this question has been brought up already and ive tried searching and have found nothing as to why this is.

If anyone can help me out with either one of these issues that would be great.

Updating the video driver should fix your scroll/lag issue.

Your operating system is 32-bit, so it will only recognize around 3.3GB RAM. That's the limitations of the OS. I've seen it show anywhere from 3-3.5GB, depending on the Windows release. It will use 3.35 max, if I remember correctly.

its 4.0GB max, it varies between 3.0 and 3.5GB depending on how much RAM your graphics card has, if you have a 1GB card you get less system RAM, since the kernel can only address so much memory

so it'll only see whatever is left over, as far as the performance goes, no, it shouldn't be a problem, its just kind of annoying to some people
