| Ebay? ok i was just wondering what is the most you would buy for on ebay cause i have won a laptop for 800 and was wondering if i should trust the person and send the money cause he only has 12 comments all positive and they were all computer things like an all in one printer, and someother stuff. also what method would you pay with i cant do paypal cause i opened an account then forgot everything so i cant put in my card number on a new account so what is the safest way to pay with the most protection.

| well you hafta pay him now if youve won, otherwise he'll report you. Use paypal, because if the dealer doesnt send it to you, you can reprt him through pay pal. The more its worth the more you can gte in trouble for not paying or giving the item |

| for that kind of money, I would insist on using escrow. you can get more info on escrow services on ebay, but basically they are a trusted third party that holds your money until you acknowledge receipt of the product. |

| In general, using Paypal as an escrow service is fairly safe. Go ahead. |

all help is thanked | Probably pay with Paypal.
Just so you know, if you won the auction you have to pay. You don't bid on auctions and then after the fact say to yourself "Hm... I wonder if I should pay for what I just purchased." |

| Go with PayPal. If he doesn't pay, you can just contact PayPal or Visa (or whatever card you use) and get your money back. And if you win an auction you must pay. Non-paying buyers ruin eBay.
Heck, I'd buy a car off eBay if I had the money. As long as I'm saving money I don't care how much I spend. |

| Just use a COD like shadowgate said that would mean when to get the laptop you give him the money. Use paypal no matter what if you use money order there is no way of getting your money back. |
