Default A7N8X-E Deluxe SATA Question

I Just got this board and want to put in a new WD 74 GB 10000 RPM Drive, and I was wondering if with this board you have to run RAID with the SATA connectors or if I can just hook the Raptor to one connector and point the bios to boot to that one HD.

Creating a RAID array is an option for SATA - not a requirement. You won't have any problems doing exactly as you said.

i had to set mine up so windows thinks of it as a scsi drive. Odd, but it works. Just press f6 when you install windows and have your floppy with drivers ready.

I've got an A7N8X-Deluxe and I'm running two 36 gig raptors in RAID 0 and I just had to plug them in and after creating the aray I just had to have the floppy disc ready when installing windows.
