Fucking Spam

The spam control, or lack thereof, lately has been appalling. The fact that some spambots, like this fellow lonhoomssof, can get away with posting 130+ before getting banned is crazy. Can the admin(s) do something to fix this problem?

EDIT: Now up to 215. Jeebus.

I get excited when seeing a slew of new posts, because I'm bored/don't know what to do with the internet and this place is dead, but then I see that it's spam :(

Wtf a 2 minute new post refresh and that bot has a dozen+ new threads.

The spambot is up to 407 posts and counting. Holy shit this is crazy.

The spam bot is now looseing his numbers, and has been banned.

RCarter and I are also now Moderators. Since we are on quite a bit we'll be able to help control some of this garbage.

Ban ip ranges of 123.123.*.* for some of the spammers, will help quite a bit. As well ban non American based email accounts, .ru .su .ch etc.

I banned two yesterday, and started deleting some of that one guys posts, but there are just to many.

If you go to his profile in the admin control panel there should be an option to delete users posts in a drop down menu. (Ive been Admin of a vBulletin forum for years now). If you need any help finding spam management stuff let me know. Though I don't know what AdminCP control you have.

Under users on the left click banned users, see if there is an option under quick links to remove all user posts at the top of the users profile page. It may be an admin only option not available to mods.
