| Yeah, all you gotta do is get you an old PSU.. ive dont this like 10 times
If your using an AMP you need 2x PSUs...
(On the AMP)
12V (Yellow) - 12v Power
12V (Yellow) - 12V Remote
-12v (Black) - -12v Ground
(On the Head Unit)
12v (Yellow) - 12v Power
12v (Yellow) - 12v Remote
-12v (Black) - -12v Ground
Pretty simple huh? All you gotta do is just hook it just just as you would in your car...
First thing.. make you a power switch on the the PSU, on the 20 pin block, cut out the green wire and a black on, if you tie them together, itll turn on the PSU, you need a switch there to turn it on and off at will.... Id suggest makign an LED in line with that other wise you might forget you left it on, and it can damage your amp to leave it on that long..
When i hooked it up, i usually put 2 Yellow wires to the power parts.. not on the remote tho.. After you get all that basic stuff hooked up, you should be ready to go.. you can figure out the rest cause its just hooking up speakers..
Ill warn you tho.. before you turn it on, lower your computer sound in the taskbar thing, otherwise your gonna just about blow out your ears cause its really Fxcking loud... trust me.. ease it up...

[Edit] Oh yeah, put the speakers in series-parallel, [4 Ohm], youll get more power to each speaker without damaging them.. |

| he doesnt need all that. theres no need to connect an AMP to a psu.
ok wait u talkin bout a car AMP, okok u right. but if was me i would get an cheap AMP good enough to run all those speakers (make sure how many watts u need). then to connect the AMP to the comp. just get a audio in/out cable, if u dont have audio in/out port in the computer get a Y cable to connect in the headphones port |

| It would work but I've got my 5 inch sub on my computer speakers so I'm pretty much set. You'll need to make housing for the speakers too. |

| You'll have to make enclosures for everything since their made to go into the enclosures on your car.
A PSU is a PowerSupply Unit. You can buy them from Xoxide! :P
You'll need the amp in order to increase the power from the PSU enough to power everything. |

| it kicks ass, cause you can take like a pos 250watt psu and run a higher watt system than the psu on it rock solid stable. my friend did it with one of my power supplys (the bastard took mine lol) he hooked a molex to the 12v input on the deck and hooked the deck to some speakers. the deck is pretty powerful too. he also has a sony 6cd changer and a fan to cool the deck all hooked up to the cheapass psu... my cheapass psu i got for 10 bucks during xhour. |

| Here.. ill give you a couple diagrams on a setup i was gonna make a while back
This is 2 computer cases hinged together
Inside of left PC
Inside of right PC
Instead of battery, think PSU
hope this helps a little..

EDIT: Just noticed the pics are kinda small, just save them and you can enlarge them..
Edit2: You dont need an amp, you can do the same wiring to jsut the head unit.. |

| If ya need car stereo advice, ask me, I have installed over 20 of them in varying degrees from crisp to knocked the window out of my Isuzu.
You need your subs in an enclosure to resonate vibration and creat the bass sound. The amp you need has to be a car amp to make good use, since the ohm is 4 versus the 8 and 16 ohm home speakers. Get an AC/DC converter to run the amp and use the RCA's from your sound card to the amp. Without and amp, you have nothing, since the sound card doesnt produce the wattage fo the speakers. Put ya 6.5" in some prefabbed 6.5" boxes from any local car audio shop

Not much luck with boxes for 6.5" mids |

| Get 2-3 400watt generic power supplies from xoxide. Upon getting these three psu's, feel free to chop off all red wires. You dont need them. http://www.home.agilent.com/cgi-bin/...OUNTRY_CODE=US
There, now you have around 60 amps of 12 volt power :0 Feel free to power around a 600w amp with that. |

PC speakers are different, as they usually come with internal amplification.
i would resist the temptation to install any speakers in a PC case that has a PC in it, the vibrations would severely shorten the life of the hard drives, and shaking a heavy heat sink on top of your CPU cant be a good thing.
instead, you can get sub boxes for $30, or build your own. make an enclosure out of MDF, and you can use 1/4" lexan to show off the speakers or the amp. i would get a separate power supply for the enclosure, you could build it right in. and if there is a local computer store around you can probably get a no name PSU for $4. i know Comp USA sells em for around $10.
if you are going to use lexan, you can also use CCFL's or any other computer accessory to show off the inside of your new case.
remember, you can always hook your computers sound card into an AUX IN on a head unit or an amp. |

| Forget buying the boxes. Just make them. It wont be too hard since you just have to cut a hole in one side and use screws to secure the speakers down. It all depends on size and whether you want to be able to move the speakers around or not. |
