Default Post your lapped CPU Pics here.

Ok so self explanitory, post pics of your lapped CPUs here and what CPU it is.

i'll start

Celeron 2.7 GHz (Northwood)

Core 2 Quad Q6600

The 2.7 turned out better an the Q6600 because it wasn't my primary CPU so i had all the time in the world to lap when bored.

I'm going to lap my opteron 165 when the warranty expires.

Celeron 2.7 pic is grainy b/c i shot ISO 200.

No braso or polish. started off at 320, went to 600ish and then final was 2000.

My wife's Opty 165 lapped a couple of years back. I lapped this since the IHS was concave and gave high temps. I was in a rush so I didn't complete the lapping process but it was enough to bring the temps down 8 degrees C, which was good enough for me.

Q6600 G0 stepping.

Temps @ full load, 3.0ghz, before/after lapping
Before - 66-62-59-58
After - 56-54-48-54

Let's all take this opportunity to laugh at my inability to care enough to make the pictures of the final state of lapping be in focus.
hahahahaha.
