Sunbeam UFO Acrylic Case Help

I just bought one from you guys and it didn't come with a few parts which are
cotton gloves (not really necessary), corner blocks (VERY necessary to actually hold the case together..), and HD shield.

I sent an email to support and an email to RMA. I also left a message today on the support line.

The corners are sort of weird and I don't know if I'll find some kind of bracket that'll fit. The holes on the case from each corner connects and makes an odd shape that I don't think will sell at my hardware store.

I bought all my parts from NewEgg and got here in time just before the case came in.

So, I have a computer with no case and my netbook I'm using.

Check out my mods and worklog for an example. What do you mean HDD shield? You dont get blocks, you get rounded L shaped pieces for the corners. All 3 of my Sunbeam Acrylic cases have come with everything, some extras and gloves.

I have the manual right here (handout it came with, with the parts list and how to construct it). They're called corner blocks. HD shield is called 5.25" Drive Bay Cover Bezel. I didn't get those and the box was a little beat up, and a long piece of transparent tape ran through the top of the box. Alos, the case feet came already attached.

Hmm, when did you buy it? Sounds like a return that shouldnt have been shipped.

I bought it on the 6th and it came on the 11th. It came earlier than my other items and didn't come with a tracking number. (The tracking number sent was for the other 3 items I purchased)

I think it would be nice since they Xoxide own operate this forum to be more pro-active and to their benifit be on here to help in this matter since JSPK called and E-mail them and still not getting a response should be of some assistance.Thats the way my webhost providers Sharkspace has their own forum and very proactive on there.

Also, this is only Monday, so im sure they are SUPER busy from the weekend orders that came in when they were off. It doesnt sound like they meant it to happen, it might have come in the inventory they got from the other owners. Im SURE its just a mistake.

This was indeed just a mistake. I thought I had responded to this already, either way I've already put in your request for an RMA number so you can return the case. Otherwise, we can ship you a replacement instead if you still need the case. It's entirely up to you.

Hey if you get a replacement and they dont want the old one back, ill buy some parts from it! Or all of it if you want, mainly the HDD spacers, top cover piece will do though! :)

Why would Xoxide not want it back. Did they make this product or did they purchase this from another company that makes them.Either way they Xoxide could get thier money back because parts were missing. For a new ownership im sure they can't afford to loose any money.

So, I received an RMA'd item (I'm assuming because of the following reasons: The case feet were already attached, I found some scratches I can take a picture of, 3 parts were missing, the box looks really old and the box's art has patches of white scratched up all around, and a large transparent tape ran across the top.) and expected to send the item back paying for shipping and restocking fee?

I have to pay for someone's mistake, basically.

Item cost:
$79.99
Restocking fee (15%): $12
Shipping: About $10
Days I had/have to wait since the purchase: 17 days + the day I go to ship it (UPS ground) + 5-7 to get there + "credit your form of payment back in about 5-10 business
days." (From E-Mail)
I have no case, I am a student, & I don't work.
Money wasted: $24
Time wasted: A month

It sounds like either they got it from the old owners like that, or it was a return missing stuff and they accidentally put it in the normal stock. Im just covering the bases, ill offer to buy it from them if it gets returned. For a reduced price of course ;)

Xoxide will be sending me a replacement and paying for shipping. My friend let me borrow his case and everything's fine. My situation must have been a mix-up. I would buy from Xoxide again, but not during Christmas :).

I'm really sorry about that JSPK, it was probably an item that was returned to the old management and given to us by them as new. In any case, we do not charge a restocking fee, nor do we make the customer pay for shipping in the case of a defective item. We will ship you out a replacement item with a return label to send the defective one back to us. Please email me if you have any questions!
