Default Do my old internal parts fit in new case?

I have a Dell computer and wanted to upgrade my case just for looks. I found this case, and the price is awesome!http://www.xoxide.com/xoxide-lustre-x-black.html So can I transfer my old internals into the new case? and do I have to buy anything to make pieces fit or should everything fit fine from old case to new case?

The only thing I can think of is get an aftermarket Heat sink and fan for you CPU. I know some dells use a ducting contraption that is designed to work with the stock HSF. This would also add to the BLING that you are looking for. Just make sure that the one you buy is compatible with your CPU and mother board. What model dell do you have? How old is it. If it is still under warranty you may want to hold off until your war has expired.
You may want to hold out for some more advice in case I am missing something.

Dells still use proprietary power supplies so make sure you use the power supply from your dell. The only other thing that comes to mind is the power button jumper head. Dell uses OEM boards which have different headers for the power button, HDD activity light and power light. I don't recall any Dell desktops recently that have reset switches. But yeah you may have problems with the switch header as they are not marked on Dell OEM boards as to what wires do what.

OH last but probably not the absolute last is the fan for the CPU. If I remember right Dell uses a modified intel jumper head for the fan plug.

So are all the cases universal? and how would I know if all my parts fit in a case or not?

90% of your cases have ATX/BTX standard motherboard standoffs.
90% of the non OEM motherboards have ATX/BTX standard mounting holes

It is when you start getting into the OEM's and the mini's that things become different.

Here is some good reading about form factor standards http://www.formfactors.org/default.asp

Again you have to understand that companies like Dell and HP that manufacture their own computers do not always follow the form factor standards.

You'll have to do a lot of backwards modification to a new case to get all that to fit. You'll need a new HSF because the dell default is combined with an exhaust hood that barely keeps the CPU in acceptable ranges.

The extension to the sound card on the front won't work, but I'd keep the cable the sound card uses since it fit's all creative sound card products (well, a large portion anyway) and you could modify the cable to be useful.

Not all the screws in the motherboard need to be attached to have it safely in place. I've run a system with as few as 3 screws in place before, with no problems. So if the form factor is off, find a good position for the motherboard and just have a few screws in place.
