Default My Rig

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.6@3.3
Video Card: EVGA 8600 GT
Memory: 2GB OCZ DDR2 800
HDD: 250GB WD 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

As you can see i had to cut out a square for on my side panel for my heatsink cause it would'nt fit =O i have to try and find like molding to put around it to maybe make it look better.

Heh heh...pretty cool...most guys just buy a smaller cooler, but you cut the side! lol Great, just great.

As for molding, you can just grab some c-channel to clean it up, or truck door molding if you like the silver/chrome look (see the stuff I used around my intake fan array on the 4472 Deluxe build...you can get it at any general auto parts store...works great).

here is a link to a store that sells the molding that grez was talking about, it really adds a professional look to any modded case.

Yep, and Bill is a good guy to buy from.

I bought mine from O'Reilly's Auto Parts...twenty two feet of it for like $9.99.

You could also build a box to fit around the hole out of acrylic. Then use clear epoxy to attach it to the existing window. (Wow for some reason attach doesnt look like its spelled right? Someone please correct me if its wrong.)

Mount some led's on that little "nook" or even put enough space to add a fan to it, give your cpu an acrylic duct to cool it haha. Sorry, I like playing with acrylics, epoxy, and random ideas.

i agree you did a good job for your mod and you just need to clean it up. I think if you were to add some fan holes for cooling the panel would look nicer. However it is your case and you are the final judge on how it looks. Maybe you could make a cuse out of the side panel and make it a fish tank or possibly resivoir for future watercooling and put an air pump in there so the water is moving with air bubbles and it would be something nice to watch.
