from a gaming perspective, do you think that would help? I'm considering going up to 3 (maybe 4) since the drives are relatively cheap. plus I could use the storage regardless.

Thanks for replies!

Windows 7 Scores
Processor: 7.4
Memory (RAM): 7.5
Graphics: 7.4
Gaming Graphics: 7.4
Primary Hard Disk: 5.9

that's with 2 WD Cavier Black 500GB's in a RAID-0 config.

UPDATE:

Windows 7 Scores
Processor: 7.4
Memory (RAM): 7.5
Graphics: 7.9
Gaming Graphics: 7.9
Primary Hard Disk: 5.9

Guess I forgot to enable SLI on the old scan lol

Don't even comment on the background! I used the default 'Characters' theme without realizing how colorful it was lol.

the only difference faster hdd's will make in games is quicker load times while loading maps and on startup. it won't increase your fps.

your 285s are only 512mb? that sucks... that's a lot of gpu power that's going to be somewhat limited at your resolution. i'm not suggesting an upgrade though, 2x gtx285 is plenty of power.

There is no 512MB version of the 285. Only 1024MB and 2048MB : )

oops 1024, my bad I always get confused because the specs on my computer never say 1024 (x2 with SLI) so I always assume to divide it. Thx for that.
