Default cpu coolers with push pins

Anyone else have problems with push pin installation on your computer? I attach my cpu cooler as securely as it can be but it something bumps my tower a little too hard my cpu cooler just pops right off, and my computer shuts down in a couple seconds when the temp skyrockets.

Its happened twice now in the past few weeks and its aggrevating, I just went and ordered a new CPU cooler with a bolt through design to stop this from happening, just wondering if I am the only one

Well, after looking at my cpu cooler again.. the push pins seem to be made out of some horribly cheap plastic, what did I expect for $20 I guess..

Either way, last friday I ordered the Scythe Mugen 2, and got it expressed, hopefully it should be here in a couple days

This is definitly overkill for my setup but I wanted something I can use if I decide to get a new mobo/cpu in the near future.

I am only running a Pentium D 820, 2.8ghz, and right now in the setup menu under pc health, it says my cpu is running at 60degrees, and thats on startup, I guess my cpu cooler isn't holding tight as it is... guess I shouldn't use this PC much until I get my new cooler, at least for nothing more then internet.

My computer has the shutoff set at 90degrees, and I can't seem to change it, thats what I get from a crappy mobo and cpu

Ok, a little update, finally got my new CPU Cooler, a week and a half late since they shipped in regular mail.

According to the PC health menu in the bios, my CPU was running at 77 degrees after being on for a little while

After taking off the old cooler with the broken push pins and swapping in my new Scythe Mugen 2 bolt on cooler.

I let it run and cool down a few times to setup the Arctic Silver Alumina paste I was using.

And Now I am running at about 32 degrees, its so much more stable now, before I would max the temp out and have computer shut downs and immense lag issues, but now nothing :)
