| Temperature What is an optimal temperature for your computer to run at?
I'm moving this summer and it gets to -50ºC (-58ºF) during the night in the winter. Would that much coldness affect my computer in a bad way? |

| Computers love the cold. You could prolly overclock better over there. I would say you're fine as long as you're not putting the thing outside. |

| Get an SLK 900 or 800 and your temps should drop by 10 c , don't venture into water cooling unless you are going to overclock. If your not gonna overclock it is pointless to go water, unless you like the flashy glowing water like me ... |

| Actually -50 might be too cold for your computer to run properly. Does it get that cold in your house!? Do ya' live in an igloo? Jk. I thought Canadians had heaters. I know Alaskans do. Jk. Lol. |

| -50C outside doesnt dictate temps INSIDE, altho, maybe u could put ur mobo outside, and run cables thru the wall, and have the rest of the comp inside... hehe... now that would be cool. |

| We won't have the heat on if we are out of town. So it could very well reach -50 in the house, but of my computer wouldn't be on then. so yeah...
actually -30 is a more realistic number. |

| Just out of curiosity, if it really is getting that cold in your house, how do you keep the pipes in your house from freezing? Because indoor plumbing generally freezes at much warmer temps than that. |

| I don't know, the houses up there are built above the ground because of the permafrost. |
