| stacking case fans I was wondering if I could put one case fan on another case fan to increase airflow in a single part of the case. Could I also use this on a heatsink that uses 80mm or 92mm case fans. I was thinking that one fan might get in the way of the other and the air flow would not be increased. |

| im not positive on this, but im pretty sure you would still get better airflow from 1 120mm |

| wont work. Reason:
In order for two fans connected together to actually help each other one needs to spin one way, and the other needs to spin in the opposite way. Now you could do this, but theres a catch. The one fan (bottom) needs to have the "fins", or fan blades, tilted in the other direction then they are.
But all is not lost... You can buy the following fan which stacks 2 fans together, and actually doubles the normal CFM you would get on a standard fan (with that noise level). http://www.xoxide.com/coolermaster-dual-storm.html |

| i would also have to say if you have 2 80mm fans that put out lets say 30 cfm and add them togeter there could be no more than 60 cfm and 1 120mm fan can put out like 80 cfm so your best bet is to go with one 120 |

| now if they made that fan in a 120mm version that would be the ultimate. |

| Delta makes something similiar. In that case, why dont people just use two fans, make them blow in opperate directions and increase their airflow? |

And i dont think anyone makes fan like that... |

| They spin in opposite directions but are slanted opposite ways, so they both blow the same way. it takes a bit of pondering but i'm sure you can do it ;) |

| well, i got that post, but he made it sound as if they were both normal fans, but the fins would be the same, not helping airflow, so the only other way would be to flip one so one blows out, one pulls in, and they cancel each other. |

| Would it be possible to take two identical fans and remove the blade assembly, and somehow flip just that over and put it back on? |
