| Decent NB Cooler from Xoxide - Pt. 2 Well, I think I was kinda just kiddin' myself thinkin that the thermaltake would be any good.
But what do you guys think on this?
I know its not as good as the swiftech, but this is just to hold me over and let me OC a little bit higher.
Then when I get the swiftech I can put that on my VGA Card.
Like I said before, I wouldn't care other than I've got a gift cert burning a hole in my virtual pocket. |

| i've used a NB cooler before..... On a good board(nf7-s for example) its not needed b/c the stock NB cooler is great. However, if you don't have a good board its worth the cheap price. |

| Well, I wouldn't bother Killa, but as I stated in the other thread, I'm going to volt-mod, so I'll need even better cooling than this if I want to utilize it fully, but this will be better than the stock cooling by quite a bit I should imagine. |

| We talked about it in the thread whcih was titled something like 'What do you guys think?'.
General consensus was that it wasn't that great. This one will be just as good, or better, and you could put it on your VGA card if you wanted to upgrade your NB cooling. |

| I always have a couple of these Vantec coolers around "for stock" to replace passive cooler 'sinks - while ensuring "good airflow" is a priority for me when I build a system, I don't like to assume the NB is getting air - I want to be certain.
I think these are a great "budget" choice - they're solid copper, compact, rival more expensive 'sinks for performance, and look good. BTW - the fan mount can be rotated to re-orient the logo depending on the NB position; and the fan is not loud or annoying. |

| For a few bucks more I would get the Vantec Iceberg4. It's a way better cooler. |

| DarkEagle....if you are really set on getting the best NB cooler avaliable(via air..) just sell your gift cert to someone for discount and use that money and get the microcool or swiftech. (there is a good thread on the pros/cons of the two a month ago or so) |

And I think I was the one who started the thread on the microcool vs the Swiftech ;).
Thanks. |
